What’s in my bag…

Hi loves!

Thanks for understanding about my recent absence from this lil bloggie.

Needed to take care of buisness and I am slowly checking things off my to do list, which makes me feel great!

Besides waking up with an awful crick in my neck this morning…everything is glorious around here.

I haven’t showed you pics in forever so here goes!

I was wishing for some yogurt but since I didn’t have any plain/non fat, I decided to make a smoothie :) Here’s what I used!

Pb n Jelly Breakfast smoothie

003

1 percent partly skimmed milk…

005

Chocolate truffle low carb protein mix…

004

No sugar added raspberry jam and heaven on earth aka smooth maranatha organic/natural pb (I’m addicted)…

006

In the mystery bag: Xanthan gum

- bout 1 cup skim milk

- some water

- ice

- 1 scoop of pb

- 1 scoop of jam

- 1 scoop protein powder

- sprinkle of the gum

And voila…

007

Delish. But SWEET. The jam really made it very sweet. My cravings for sugary things are basically gone and when I eat something that is overly sweet…I really don’t like it anymore! But I still enjoyed this. Filling!

After breakfast my mom and I hit the grocery store. She usually gets the produce…we stock up on things like cucumber, celery, romaine, bell peppers, cherry tomatos, mushrooms and the like! I usually get my own stuff/whatever things I wanna make for my meals.

Here is what was in my bags today!

010

009

Oven smoked salmon (any ideas what I should do with this!?) Do I heat it up..or eat it cold!? hmm…

011

Light/low fat marble cheese! (haven’t had this in ages!)

012

Shrimpies!

013

Honey mustard marinated salmon

And dill salmon…

014

A new treat…Dulce de leche no sugar added pudding cups

Veggie dip (chipotle)

New gum! (sugar free)

015

Low fat/low sugar plain yogurt and fat free cottage cheese…

As I said..this is all paired with the buttload of produce my mom always gets and she also picked up some skim milk for me :)

I was ravenous after grocery shopping and needed to have lunch stat!

016

Little piece of “Jane’s haddock” I’m not really supposed to have breaded things…but heck I need to have balance :P

It was divine, covered in malt vinegar and had a side salad with tomatos, cukes, pickles, crumbled goat feta and watered down light ranch :)

And now…I am enjoying a skinny cow popsicle. Nom.

I am working on my first assignment, it’s only 800 words but you really have to answer carefully. It’s about two institutions and their implicit rules, how I followed or butted heads with them etc etc…

Can you think about an institution (school, work, family), it’s rules and how they shaped you/how you responded to them?

It’s fun to be a sociologist every once and again ;)

Thanks for your advice on my post from yesterday… I appreciate it. I understand it isnt a quick fix, for me I just want to switch things up so that I can get back in to the groove, I am still 100% weight watchers but its possible to follow aspects of other techniques and still stick to points. I just need to do something, ya know? How are you finding it so far? I dont blame you at all for embracing the low sugar thing if you have diabetes in the family, if thats not a good reason then I dont know what is!

Hope you are having a fab weekend :)
